our concept
To achieve our goal, it is important to present the vulva in a non-erotic, respectful and aesthetically pleasing manner.
This is how we do it: we invite you to take photos of your vulva in two standard poses and anonymously share those with us. The first pose is the standing photo, taken from the front while you are standing up with your feet shoulder width apart. The second pose is the recumbent photo, taken from the bottom while you are lying down. The best way to take these photos in a simple way, is described in the Gynodiversity shooting guide.

We ask you to include a photo with a scale reference (such as a measuring tape or ruler) in frame, so we can crop the photo to the proper size. That way, we can accurately convey the variation in size as well.
The cropped images are then color corrected and where needed adjusted for unwanted shadows or highlights. Needless to say, your natural skin tone is taken into account during the color correction. Nothing else will be retouched to keep the image as real as possible.
The resulting images are placed in seamless grids, called panels, making clear at a glance the enormous variety in shape, texture, color and size. There are separate panels for the standing and the recumbent pictures respectively. In addition, there are 'combo' panels where the standing and recumbent pictures are placed in pairs side by side.
