lightingProvide for diffuse (soft) lighting. It is best to take the photos on an overcast day. Make use of daylight entering through a window directly opposite your subject.

zoomSet the focal length (zoom amount) to approximately 85mm equivalent. See the full version for a simple technique to find the right focal length.

megapixelsTake pictures of at least 6 megapixels. But the more the better. More pixels gives us more flexibility when cropping and a nicer overall result.
